2010 Proposed Budget
Attached is a copy of the cover explanatory letter and the Finance Committee’s proposed budget for 2010. Copies of this budget are also available in the church office, by e-mail or mail upon request to the church office, and available at all services on Sunday Oct. 18 and Oct. 25.
We will hold another town hall discussion meeting on the budget Wednesday Oct. 21 at 6:15 in room E-180 as part of our regular Prayer Meeting. At this meeting, budget copies will be available, a presentation made, and any comments or questions about the budget received by Tim Underwood, Ministry Operations Director, and the Finance Committee. The church will vote yes or no on this budget at a special church conference after all services on October 25
Ministries of Briarlake Church are supported by the contributions of attenders and members. The Bible teaches in Malachi 3 that we should each give at least a tithe—or 10 percent of our income—to support the work of the church. 2 Corinthians 9:7 teaches us everyone should give what they have decided in their heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. There are many ways that you can choose to contribute to Briarlake Baptist Church.
In Person
At all of our worship services you will have the opportunity to give your offering in person as a bucket or plate is passed. You can also bring your offering to the church office during regular business hours—Monday through Thursday, 9:00 a.m.—5:00 p.m., Friday, 9:00 a.m.—12:00 p.m. If you need to mail your offering, please send it to Financial Office, 3715 Lavista Road, Decatur, GA 30033.
Envelopes
Quarterly all members are mailed individualized weekly giving envelopes. If you are not receiving them, or want to stop receiving these envelopes because you use another giving option, click here. Blank offering envelopes are available on the black table at Backlot and in the pew racks in Cornerstone and Chapel services. Be sure to write in your name in order to receive proper credit.
Automatic Bank Draft
One of the easiest ways many people have found to give their offering is through automatic bank draft (ACH). You can choose to have your offering paid out on the 2nd and/or 16th day of the month. In order to initiate this process, please return the automatic debit form with a voided check to the Finance Office. This will be processed as an automatic withdrawal from your checking account every month. Click here for the automatic debit form.
Online Giving
Another easy way to give your offering is to give online. You can make a one-time gift or set up a recurring gift using a credit card or a bank account. Click here to give your offering online.
Debt Retirement
We are paying off $445,000 remaining on the storm drainage repair, parking lot refinishing and covered entryways into E-building. Click here to contribute online for this effort.
